Daniel Woods Does The Fly 14d (V14)

Daniel Woods recently completed a trip to Rumney in an attempt to claim the $1000 dollar bounty DPM placed on the second ascent of Vasya's JAWS 2, aka Broken Jaws. Although reportedly close on the second ascent, his attempts on JAWS 2 were thwarted by seeping holds and wet weather, causing him to abandon the bounty. As a consolidation prize, Daniel completed The Fly on the Waimea Wall. On his ascent, Daniel used a rope, clipping only one bolt before reaching the anchors.  Even though it was a roped ascent, Daniel preferred to give the route a 8b+(V14) bouldering grade because of its short height and gymnastic movement
